Aspiration from lead smelters, carried out using cabins and/or hoods, involves the treatment of polluting (toxic) flows at very high temperatures (> 200°C). In some cases, the most suitable solution is the installation of air/air heat exchangers to reduce temperature, along with decantation chambers for coarse/incandescent substances. Installed bag filters are fitted with a fibreglass filtering medium, with PTFE membrane, extremely effective in capturing micronic dust and therefore capable of guaranteeing stringent limits for the emission of lead particles into the atmosphere.
For lead refinement basins we have designed and built a special mobile aspiration system consisting of a rotating air blade fitted onto a pylon. A pre-abatement system is also required in such cases, due to high concentrations of sucked up dust. Remaining fine substances are sent to a bag filter.
An electric panel complete with PLC and supervision is used to manage various plant parameters.
