One of the main characteristics of sponge iron is self-ignition/combustion and consequently aspiration and treatment plants for this substance are designed taking this into consideration.
Our solution includes the use of tubes containing high speed air which keeps ducts clean so as to limit the aforementioned phenomenon.
Abatement occurs by means of a very special scrubber which uses water mixed with the sucked up pollutant at extremely high speed. The scrubber, complete with venturi with an internal variable ogive, enables precise abatement efficiency regulation, based on actual operating conditions. A fan with transmission coupling  guarantees a suitable vacuum during aspiration and a self-supporting smokestack emits the purified flow into the atmosphere.
