In the case of plants where chemical products are present, utmost care must be taken when selecting plant construction materials, taking into consideration pollutant chemical-physical characteristics.
Chemical fumes are sucked up using special equipment such as walls with vents and air knives which exploit the principle of localisation, for increased filtering efficiency.
Treating the work environment is fundamental in the case of plants where dangerous substances are present.
A single/double stage scrubber is used to neutralise acidic/basic compounds and is sized according to crossing speed and contact times (air and reagent solution). Both project parameters identify abatement efficiency and relative scrubber load loss.
The consumption of reagents used is strictly linked to inbound mass flow.
A centrifugal ventilator, also made from plastic material, guarantees a suitable in line vacuum and a smokestack emits purified air into the atmosphere.
A substance detector is installed on the smokestack to protect the outside environment (acidic/basic, pre-defined with precision), capable of sending a pre-alarm followed by an alarm if pre-set concentration limits are exceeded.
